Musicals/plays

We got so off topic on Meroko-chan's post of her cover of Phantom of the Opera, didn't we...lol. I thought I could make this so we could all discuss all of the plays and musicals we have seen, we want to see, we have been in, etc...I'll start it all off, how's that? hehe.

I have been in the plays at my middle school but I've never been in the musicals... My sister has been in all of her high school and middle school productions, though, so I've seen a lot of shows. This year they did Les Mizerable, before that they did Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, the year before that was Thuroughly Modern Millie, and then in 7th grade for her she was in Oklahoma. I live close enough to New York City so I've seen Young Frankenstein the Musical, Phantom of the Opera, God of Carnage, and one more comedy play that I can't remember the name of...I've been in 3 plays. High School Drop-Outs from Outer Space, a collection of folk tales from around the world where i was part of the Brementown Musicians, and I can't remember the name of the first one I was in 'cuz i was a little kid for tha one and all I did was dance with cast on my leg and then lay down under a sheet...I was a fly and I'd cut my knee open and needed 14 stitches a week-or-so prior to our performance...

I saw one musical live at it was like a 1st grade feildtrip. I've seen Phantom of the Opera, but that was only on DVD, I've seen Greese but I saw it on tv -_- I was in a school musical called Get your head in the game in 6th grade... <--- I didn't do anything I was an understudy so I kind of wasn't in it and I handed out fliers and programs....

I've never been on broadway but I've seen musicals like: Beauty and the beast, the music man, and alice in wonderland (I cant remember if they sung or not so i'm not sure)

I've seen quite a few musicals. There's one called A Chorus Line that I loved to death. I've seen Annie and My Fair Lady as well. I remember seeing a series of short stories being put together in a musical for a class field trip once and that's pretty much all I remember about it. OTL.

I really really REALLY want to see Wicked.

Oh...I forgot about the movie versions of musicals i've seen...I own Chicago, Rent, Hercules, Aladdin, and Phantom of the Opera on DVD. I've seen both Grease movies on TV multiple times. And I've watched all of the H!P w/Takarazuka musicals on youtubue, too, hehe. I've seen a lot of shows...I'm just now realizing this...

I had been wanting to go see that and my brother went and I saw two tickets on the counter I was like but he took his girlfriend afrer knowing I wanted to go >.<

That is horrible!!! the same happened to me with a friend who went to see one of a shared favorite American bands last summer and said that she had 3 tix. she was going with her aunt and uncle...

I hate it when people do that it's like don't tell me about it then!!! AHHH! This one person called me pathetic on youtube because they SPELLED EVERYTHING wrong and I spelled one thing wrong..... So I totally chewed em out MUAHAHAA O.o remember when I was younger I was very mean >.< So when people insult me my... some people call it my yankee self.... but I don't know if thats what you would call it >.<

nice lol. I'm the same. I'm a really nice person...until you insult me or my friends or my family. then I go bitch-mode on them and i end up in trouble for swearing in a location where you aren't allowed to swear...

O.O lol XD people are so rude these days to us nice people! XD Not sharing their tickets and all.

haha same here but I dont swear~ I use substitutes like fudge so when I get into arguements its hilarious

lol I swear alot.... (._.) but when I'm playing with my family I replace them I say your such a biscuit... or what the crizzlemips?!

lol most def same here...I'm not allowed to say crap with my one mom, i'm not allowed to say anything 'worse' than crap with my dad but with my mom, I'm allowed to drop the f-bomb and she doesn't care. so i say 'fudge you' in front of my dad or other mom and they start to flip out so i have to explain that when i say 'fudge you' i literally mean that i wanna see you fudged, A.K.A. covered in fudge! it's a very funny image to get in the midde of an argument lol.

I can't say the F word in my house and I can't cuss infront of my dad but with my mom we joke and I'll be like Damn them all mommy! XD and we will laugh. One time I almost said well F seth, but I went Ffffff because my mom was stading at the stairs and I was like ffffffffffun..... and she was like you were going to say it and I said no I said fun... because my brother let my dog out of her yard DX

Meri, i get the feeling that you watch a fair bit of tv...am i right? or am i just making a supercilious assumption? hehehe

I've done the same w/my dad...I'll start to say the s-word and he'll start to glare at me and i turn it into shist, which is a type of rock, and he can't get mad at me! that and, instead of calling someone a pain in the ass or an asshole or anything like that, i say that they are a "donkey named Jack". I got that one from a friend of mine, though...

One time I couldn't think of anything so I just blurted out butt nuggett O.O my mom started laughing so hard I was like.......

I was supposed to go see it on the 19th but I couldn't because I couldn't finish my school work I love the orbit comericals but I don't understand why people get mad at me when I use it as soap it says right on the box for a good clean feeling!!! XD jk I love the one where they are like son of a b... Bulbazar? F.... fabulous! XD for a good clean feeling..... no matta what. XD

u use soap to clean your teeth? o.O and I luv that one! I also love the sourpatch commercials

I haven't seen it but i need to go and watch it with my friends soon...and that gum commercial series cracks me up, everytime i see one of them...lol

I really want to see it. and did u see the one when the lady finds her husband cheating and is like- "you son of biscuit eating bulldog"? xD

that is actually one of my favorite advertisements that's on TV other than the rapping hamsters....
