Auditions!

Ok since we all know by now that Kamei Eri, Junjun, and Linlin of MorningMusume are graduating, right? Well that means that we all probably know about the 9th generation auditions, right? I'm just posting this 'cause I'm curious to find out if anyone else here will be audtioning. I sent in an application on the day that auditions were opened so I am patiently waiting for more information about the actual first round beyond applications...Scratch that. I'm not waiting patiently. I'm waiting very impatiently right now for my new information lol. if people don't know about the auditions or can't find it, here's the link to the audition page: http://www.musume-audition.com/ It all is in Japanese so I suggest using http://www.wikiled.com/ for translations or romaji.org if you don't need to actually translate it to English.

Whenever I get permission from my parents I'm going to give it a shot. I'm aware that the chances are EXTREEEMELY low but I'm going to try.

Btw, do you know how sending pictures works for the online applications? Can you upload the pictures after you fill out the form or something? That was confusing the hell out of me lol.

I'm still confused on how to fill out an application since I live outside of Japan. Tasukete ne~

I think you can still fill one out anyway. I don't live in Japan but I'm doing it just to see what happens xD

the websites i left links to in my original post might be of some help. they helped me. I speak some Japanese but I can't read it to save my life so i used those two websites to translate everything. they might not be helpful for you but they sure as hell saved my ass for this lol.
the pictures is after you finish the first form, you go to another page and you have the spots to browse the pictures you have on computer to choose. you need a face shot, bust shot, full-body shot, and then you have 2 free choices that can be whatever you want. and how come nobody had a translation of the form when I was filling it out? just wondering...it confused the crap outta me when i was trying to figure it out on my own the other day...lol

Oh I see. Umm, I'm going to try to put anything I can't put in Kanji in Katakana, if that helps. I'm afraid I'd confuse them if I put too much Romanji.

(I haven't actually filled out the form yet, I'm not doing it until I've gotten pictures taken which I hooope happens this week lol)

FFF losing weight would not be a bad idea for me. I guess I wouldn't have to, but. It'd be nice xD;;

I suggest you guys try what I ended up using. I went to wikiled and figured out what I wanted to put in english, figure out what of it I could say in Japanese on my own and get that into kanji and then the rest of it, just type it in and translate it from english to the Japanese Kanji-Romanji option and it translates it. I double-checked mine with freedict.com or romaji.org for the ones that I wasn't fully sure about, just to make sure it was saying what I wanted and the translator hadn't just screwed it up. Just putting it out there.

Btw, anyone know the deadline for the audition submissions?

I'm auditioning my parents seem like it's a GO! They are still debating on whether I can fly out or anything and making sure I REALLY want to do this..... which I so totally am. The requirements all match me! They basically said "Meroko we want you to be in the 9th generation of Morning Musume" That's basically what they said Yup Yup.

Unfortunately, I was just over there, so I doubt I can fly back. Although, maybe my host family could let me use their address for my audition form XDD

One of the FAQ said "I don't live in Tokyo can I still audition?" and the answer was "There is no limitation to living arrangments of course you can!" <----- even if they don't mean living outside of Japan I'm holding that to them because they never specified XP

Yeah, I have no address in Japan or anything like that whatsoever, I'm just going to use my address here in Colorado and hope Tsunku doesn't go "EW GAIJIN"

And Rosetta, I'm pretty sure they are due September 21st.

xD;; My parents have no idea, If i told them they'd beat my ass. D: Which is why i'm forging their sig, and just kinda doing whatever.

Ever since the anime expo live performance my dad has liked Morning Musume, and my mom even though she HATES her Japanese relatives (they are very rude and mean) she thinks that it will be a very good learning experience and it's a once in a life time chance they just haven't told me if I can send it in yet!!!! Everytime I ask they say "Ask me again tomorrow..."

I've been reading a lot of comments from people like "NO WHITE GIRLS EVER EVER" and I understand that they don't want westerners in MM. I mean, it's a Japanese group and all so it's REALLY weird for a white person or anyone else to join them. Especially since Coconuts Musume died a horrible, slow, painful death. I guess that means in a way I'm being selfish. Still if I don't do it I'll wonder what would happen if I did. I'm doing it just to do it, and I don't really expect Tsunku to actually choose me.

To make sure I'm a good singer I've asked two pro singers..... One said "You need more training but keep it up!"
and the other I have not heard a reply from yet.....

Now for a little fun. Who dares me to send one of my songs to UpFrontAgency? One of my dubs from youtube. Pick it and I'll send it!!!!!!

OMG Meroko-san! If you do that, I will totally do that too! that'd be a really cool thing to do! I doubt they'd actually look at the videos, though...they're prolly getting, like, a million a day right now 'cause the auditions are going on right now...

You should totally do that Meroko!^^ And to everyone auditioning good luck. I'd love to audition, it's just the sending pictures in by phone that's a problem for me because I'm not too sure how to do it. XD'

I also told my mom I was gonna audition and she just laughed. I know I'm probably dreaming, especially because I don't think I'm at all what they're looking for as far as cuteness goes and I'm not the strongest singer but I still wanna give it a shot!
